NutriTrack

NutriTrack is a nutrition and macro-tracking web app built with Laravel and vanilla JavaScript. Users can search a food database (including Philippine-specific food data) to log meals, set custom daily goals for calories, protein, carbs, and fat, and track progress with live dashboards. Features include photo-based meal logging with in-browser image cropping, a searchable meal history, and optional progress photo tracking — all wrapped in a clean, responsive dark-mode interface.

Overview

How it came together.

01

The goal

Macro tracking that works for what people here actually eat: a food database including Philippine-specific food data, and daily targets set by the person rather than chosen from a preset.

02

The approach

Built with Laravel and vanilla JavaScript. Meals are logged by searching the database or from a photo, with in-browser image cropping, against custom daily goals for calories, protein, carbs and fat.

Live dashboards track progress against those goals, with a searchable meal history and optional progress photo tracking alongside.

03

The result

Live, wrapped in a clean, responsive dark-mode interface that stays readable at the end of a long day.
